Trained in both the U.S. and China, I am a licensed and nationally Board certified practitioner of Traditional Chinese Medicine for over 20 years. My commitment is to heart-centered, enlivening medicine that treats the whole person. My focus is on prevention and wellness, as well as issues of aging, stress, emotional and physical pain, including PTSD, and treating the side effects of cancer therapies.

I am also a co-founder of the Asian Institute of Medical Studies www.asianinstitute.edu that offers Masters degree programs in Asian Medicines.

Alex Holland, OMD,  M.Ac., L.Ac.

Dr. Holland graduated from the Northwest Institute of Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine (NIAOM) in 1985 and did clinical training in Chongqing, China, in 1985. He was the Academic Dean of NIAOM from 1992 to 1996 and is currently the President and co-founder of the Asian Institute. He is a faculty member with Andrew Weil's Program in Integrative Medicine at the University of Arizona. Alex has taught extensively and is the author of Voices of Qi — An Introductory Guide to Traditional Chinese Medicine.
